Virgil W. Schulenburg, an enthusiast from Spring Green, WI bought his first Harley while in the Navy in 1975. It was a 1941 Knucklehead he still has to this day. He rode it cross country back to his hometown in search of his dream. And , in 1979, found it when he purchased Sauk Prairie Harley-Davidson at the age of 25 years old.

The business has grown to include Motorcycle Sales, Service, Motorclothes Apparel, Genuine Mechanical Accessories, Financing, Riders Edge and a staff like no other.

In 2009, Virgil had the opportunity to open two new locations, Dubuque Harley-Davidson in Dubuque, IA and Galena Harley-Davidson in Galena, IL

Here at Dubuque Harley-Davidson we hope to carry on the traditions that  Sauk Prairie Harley-Davidson has set in place. Some of which are that Sauk Prairie Harley-Davidson has received 16 Gold Bar & Shield Circle of Excellence Awards. To receive this annual prestigious award a dealership has to be one of the top 25 Harley-Davidson dealers in the United States.
